As Hempstead undergoes physical renovation and remodeling to prepare for the students of the future, we also want to look at the students of the past as well as the teachers, the administrators, and the community members who have significantly contributed to Hempstead's success since 1970.
What is this program?
The Mustang Booster Club sponsors the Hempstead Hall of Fame.It is a program that recognizes the outstanding citizens who have demonstrated commitment and leadership with their accomplishments at Hempstead. The program is also meant to identify those who took their success out into the world and made it a better place for all of us.
How do I nominate someone?
Anyone can nominate a candidate for the Hempstead Hall of Fame, by completing the application form.Nomination forms can be picked up in and must be returned to the Activity Office or Tom Meissner, Athletic Director.
Who can be nominated?
-Former Hempstead Students/Athletes who have made outstanding contributions to the school, community, and/or their occupation. Must have graduated five or more years previous to the current year.
-Retired Faculty Member who served ten or more years. Must be retired at least five years. Has demonstrated innovation in the profession and/or in the classroom/district. Has shown leadership within the district, or actively mentored colleagues, parents, or students. Nominee should have significantly impacted students and the profession within years of Hempstead service.
-Community Member who has volunteered time, finances, or resources to make Hempstead a better place.
